Journey to me....
Welcome to my blog. Here I will share with you my journey into professional photography, but, in reality, this is more a journey into 'me'... A wonderful discovery of passion and purpose. One where I can focus on the love and joy that is all around us, everywhere....
To be honest, I am soooo not ready to 'blog', but I am taking my own words of advise and simply jumping in. I gather if I wait until I think I'm ready, being the perfectionist I am, I'll never get this blog started. I am my biggest obstacle, I am learning....I must learn to believe in my talents, and know that I, alone, am good enough...I'm no more talented if I have the 'coolest' blog header, or a customized flash website....Sure, these things will come and they will represent me (hopefully)...but if I wait till they are all in 'tickidee boo' condition, BEFORE I present myself to the world....Well, I'm simply delaying the joys of living my dream.
So, here I am, feeling a bit naked to the world....like being born.
And so it is...
Today, I am excited to go off with my mentor, Jessica Balfour, to second shoot a wedding taking place at a golf course that I worked at for about 5 summers while going to University. It's funny to be going back in this capacity...This will be the first time that people will 'see' me as a photographer. How exciting is that???? I'm sure I will run into former co workers who will ask, in the most curious of ways, "You're a photographer??" and I will say, with a grin...Yes, yes, I am...

It's just me..Tacey, I saw that comments were not activated...so, I did a little HTML (Cause I'm sooo good at it) and I reconfigured my layout to allow comments...So, Please...share your thoughts...Remember, we're all in this together. Mwah!

If you photograph in he way you write your blog, it'll be unvbelievable. You write, and I can clearly see you talking to me face to face. Your passion, enthusiam and love for this dynamites the structure of your writing. Good luck, Tacey. I'm proud of your gutsy move from corporate crime analysis to a daring move! I KNOW you'll be a success down the road and one in great demamd as a photographer, as people get to know the real you.
This was my first reaction to your blog that did not get posted, but I felt so strongly about, I saved it in Word until I could post it. So here's my original take!
Your blogging is SO you! It's like being face-to face- talking with you. If your photos are anything like your writing, it's the essence of capturing you and your eyes, which are phenomenal. Anyone who gets to know you will soon learn your passion, dedication to getting it right and believing in your abilities. I'd recommend you to ANYONE seeking your talents! Once they get to know you, they will clearly see your desire to get things exactly as they want and more. Best of luck to one of my favorite photographers!
